Who We Are

The Cristol Group is a work in progress.  Always changing, adding new and exciting lines, and making those changes whenever and wherever, and to do what is needed to help our customers in the gourmet food and confection business.

Though we have lots of great gourmet food and accessories, from baskets & shrink film to imported chocolate, our company is really about people.  We have the finest, most knowledgeable people to help you find what you need.  And it is about you, our customers.  In most cases, if we don't have it, we can get it for you.

What We Do

Sam, Lynn, Sue (our office manager), and all of the sales reps covering Florida, Georgia, Alabama and the Caribbean welcome you to their "information only" web site.  This site is for trade customers and potential customers only.  No orders or information to the consumer will be accepted.

A Little History (The Short Version)

After over 20 years in the specialty food business, Sam Cristol moved to Florida in 1984 and started a small brokerage company.  In 1986, he merged his small brokerage business with that of Neil Levine to form Cristol & Levine Sales.  Together they built what is today the recognized leader in specialty food rep groups in Florida, serving also the Caribbean and Latin America.

In 1995, Sam purchased Neil's shares in the business.  During the next two years, business and service to our manufacturers and customers increased dramatically.

In 1996, Lynn Weinberg joined the company as a part-time assistant to Sam Cristol.  Her eighteen years on the retail side gave our company another perspective to help us grow.  Today Lynn is Vice President of Operations, and handles many aspects of the business.

In 1997, Sam purchased Annie Hall & Associates, Inc., the second largest specialty food brokerage group in Florida.  With this acquisition, and the melding of the two sales forces, it made this company one of the strongest Specialty Food Rep groups in the country.  Later that year the name was officially changed to The Cristol Group in order to express what we are: a statewide group of professional specialty food sales people.

In 1998, after requests from many customers for upscale Florida products, The Cristol Group launched it's GourmetFlorida™ line of Key Lime and Orange chocolates, cookies, and marmalades adding a new dimension to our company.

In 2006 we opened our office near Atlanta, to service Georgia and Alabama. Sue Patterson, who has been with the company for many years, is Director of GA & AL Operstions.
